The Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Company provides fire protection and vehicle rescue services to the citizens of Jackson Township In Monroe County, PA. We have a coverage area of 33.1 square miles. At the time of the 2010 census the population was 7,033, with 2,178 homes.
The township is made up of farmland, state gamelands, residential developments, 8 summer camps, and a big portion of Big Pocono State Park, located on Camelback Mountain. Along with our coverage area, we provide mutual aid for our surrounding fire departments; Pocono Township, Blue Ridge Hook and Ladder, and West End Fire companies, as well as any other department that may require assistance.
Our fleet consists of 2 engines, 2 tankers, a medium duty rescue, 2 brush trucks, a command vehicle, a utility truck that can be changed into a brush truck with the use of a skid unit, and an auxiliary support vehicle. Currently our membership consists of 45 active members, which include firefighters, fire police, and junior firefighters. To inquire on membership stop by any Monday night after 7pm.
