Transformer Fire
Wed. Aug 5th 2020

0303 hours - Fire Station 27 was dispatched to Reeders RUN RD and Midnight LN for a transformer arching. With firefighters on scene reporting no fire, tree branch on wires. PPL was requested to be notified. I am sure they had a tremendous list of wires down, no power, etc. We are all so used to being able to flip a switch and have power. Then when it goes out, it is like now what. This is why everyone should have emergency kits. Batteries, flashlights, food, medication, etc. Dealing with down wires and or electricity is not something you rush with. As if you don't review the whole scene or make the wrong move. It could be your last. We work hand and hand with PPL.
