April 22, 2018 was Earth Day. If you were out and about around 8:30 am and noticed RT 715 closed down for about 3 hours, it was done for safety. Members of the Jackson Twp. Volunteer Fire Co. and the township road crew joined forces to clean up RT 715 on both sides from Center RD to Neola RD. RT 715 is a state road but it runs through the township. The road has never been cleaned. With a dump truck and backhoe from the township, everyone else started out with safety vest, gloves, bags and grabbers. One hundred bags of garbage along with tires, bumpers, toilets, and various other items were picked up.
